Children's Fund
Between April 2008 and March 2011, the Coventry Children's Fund programme commissioned and supported 17 projects across the city in providing early intervention and prevention services for children, young people and their families.
The main aim was to encourage work to narrow the gaps in life chances between the most disadvantaged and those who are better off and also to encourage partner organisations to work together in a targeted and evidence-based manner, so that activities would be delivered to tackle key strategic needs.
A recent evaluation of the project showed that the programme had engaged with over 15,000 beneficiaries and by the end of programme this figure has exceeeded 19,000.
As part of the evaluation of the programme, the Children's Fund team has developed a Children's Fund prospectus highlighting the successes of the programme.
