This year the CYPSP has focussed its work on improving outcomes for children and young people. This may sound like an obvious thing to say, but we are determined to assess our progress against measures that describe outcomes for children and young people, rather than process, process, process.
2007/08 has been a challenging year for the partnership, but one in which we believe we have made good progress. We have seen a number of outcomes for children and young people improved this year, and look forward to seeing furtehr improvements in 2008/09.
Our APA self-assessment was sent to Ofsted in June. Inspectors will look at the document and supporting evidence, and may decide to come and visit us in October 2008. We will know our final 'score' in December, and this will contribute to the Council's CPA (Corporate Performance Assessment). Overall we have rated ourselves as a 3 (max = 4).
